Hills, hills, and more hills. We ended up putting in 66.5 miles from La Grange to Navasota. What was significant is we have completed 4 of the 7 maps that we have. Also the next maps no longer show any elevations so I think we are finally through with hills. Now if we could get rid of the wind we could really make time!
We had a hard time finding a campground last night. We were told it was because of an antique show in the area. Well, we ended riding right through it. Twelve miles of it around Round Top, Texas. It was on both sides of the roads and created a ton of traffic which, luckily was travelling very slow because of the congestion. For those of you that are into antiques, I think this is bigger than Shipshawana in Indiana.
Did I mention hill?
From the Stoker: I sure hope when we bike out of this "hill country", I will remember the beauty and forget all about the hills!!
These pictures really are so pretty - what a well-deserved treat for you while you are riding. I think you are amazing - what a great accomplishment!
